The Celebration Starts Here

Minifilms Ltd, the production company behind the 'Ultimate Mini' DVD series, has recently completed filming for a new product to be released on Friday 14th November, in time for the Christmas market. The new DVD is the first in a series of products to be released by Minifilms over the next twelve months to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mini's launch. They will all come under the 50 YEARS OF CLASSIC MINI main heading. 

The first of these is Volume 1: A-Series Power

This ideal Christmas gift is a must for any fan of the classic A-Series engine. The Minifilms team have gathered together some of the iconic A-Series engine upgrades to demonstrate how effectively they work and which might suit the modern Mini enthusiast. A magnificent Mk1 Cooper S sets the benchmark, with a remarkable performance in the hands of Mini Miglia champion, Bill Sollis, but it's quickly followed by 1380, 7-port, turbo and supercharged examples of the breed, before being topped off with the most recent A-Series tuning fad, a K1100 BMW cylinder head on the A-series block. Add in a turbo for good measure and you have 230bhp!

Each car is driven and assessed by Bill, with a dvd bonus feature looking at the implications for the enthusiast wishing to replicate the installation at home.

A-Series Power is filmed at the ultra fast Llandow circuit, offering exciting new camera angles for the Minifilms team (who've previously used the small Curborough sprint circuit). What's more, four in-car minicams capture all the frantic action as Bill gets the most from each car. It's spectacular viewing!

To further celebrate the significance of the Mini's 50th birthday, 50 YEARS OF CLASSIC MINI - Volume 1: A-Series Power will be released in an exclusive collectors LIMITED EDITION format. A run of just 1000 DVDs will be produced with a unique DVD wrap and each one will be numbered and signed by Bill Sollis.
