Ultimate Mini Builder - 1380cc A-series is your comprehensive guide to building a high performance fast-road 1380cc A-series engine.
With over four hours of in-depth footage, watch as Mini expert Bill Sollis strips a Metro 1275cc unit and then rebuilds it to 1380cc with all the perfect components for long-lasting and reliable power! And to proove the result, we run the engine on a dyno - revealing over 100bhp and 100lbs/ft of torque.
Our new action DVD Ultimate Mini Engine Swap takes no prisoners, and those who love their A-series engines had better look away now! Minifilms’ latest dvd takes a closer look at all the established engine swaps (Watson’s VTEC, Z-Cars bike, Vauxhall twin-cam) while also looking at some other conversions that make complete sense (Rover K-Series, Suzuki Swift and Vauxhall 8-valve).
Each car is driven on the circuit by 2006 Mini Miglia champion Bill Sollis and assessed on the various merits of each engine swap. If you’re considering more power for your Mini, you must watch Ultimate Mini Engine Swap.
Minifilms' latest technical DVD looks at one of the hottest alternative engine installations currently in the scene - converting your Mini to run a Honda VTEC twin-cam.
Developed by Watsons Engineering, the Minifilms team followed the complete conversion process, from basic bodywork modifications, right through to engine installation and suspension mods. It's a brilliantly comprehensive product that will help anyone already building a car, or inspire those considering a conversion.
Ultimate Mini Mayhem features a battle between the A-series boys and the hybrid interlopers. Championing the cause for the alternatives will be Minifilms presenter Ian Stent, under the guise of Team Mayhem, while we have newly crowned 2006 Miglia Champion, Bill Sollis, heading up, wait for it... The A-Team!
Ultimate Mini Builder - Z-Cars has recently been updated to include the company's amazing new Honda VTEC Type-R conversion. Filmed entirely on location at the Z-Cars factory, this is a blow-by-blow guide to assembling a mid-engined Z-Cars Mini. The dvd covers all areas of the conversion, but it does not cover the restoration of the original steel Mini 'shell. This is a second edition of this highly successful dvd, now including the Honda Type R.

Produced by the Mini Se7en Racing Club, this dvd gives a fantastic flavour of what you can expect if you either go to watch the action or, more importantly, decide to get involved and compete in either the Mini Se7en or Mini Migla race series. With much of the footage featuring race meetings from the 2005 race series which were broadcast on TV, quality of the filming is very high and includes a few driver interviews as well as great in-car and on-track race action.
As the title suggests, 1960s Mini Racing is one for those of you who love the period footage of Minis on the limit and, occasionally, beyond it! Made up from footage put together by Roscoe Films, we can watch Minis in the thick of the action at Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Castle Combe and Mallory. Often thrown into the Saloon car races, it’s a battle of little and large, with huge Ford Galaxies taking up much of the track space.
A unique opportunity to compare the two films made to re-launch the Mini after its initial teething problems had been ironed out. They are a monument to what became known as ‘badge engineering’ and a symptom of the later troubles that engulfed BMC. The two versions of Mini - the Austin Seven and Morris Mini-Minor - were marketed through separate sales departments. This meant the poor film crew was required to allow both Austin and Morris to take its turn in the leading role. Action shots had to be duplicated, factory sequences had to be repeated at both Longbridge and Cowley, the end result was a production which took twice as long to make at twice the price. See if you can spot the differences!
40 years ago, autocrossing (racing cars against the clock, driving on grass rather than tarmac) was one of Britain's most popular forms of motorsport. And this dvd helps - spectacularly - to explain why.
The 1960s were British Sports Car and GT racing's golden era; halcyon days when the enticing combination of charismatic cars and daredevil drivers brought spectators flocking to circuits on Sunday afternoons.
What would it take to turn a rusting wreck into road-fit modern classic?
In this hugely enjoyable Discovery television series, motoring journalists Mike Brewer and Edd China rescue a Austin Mini from the scrap yard and embark on a restoration that proves to be a true labour of love. With a tight budget and limited time, can our heroes get the car back on the road - and maybe even sell it on for a profit?
Ever since it was introduced to the motoring public in 1959 the Mini has captured the imagination and hearts of millions of small car lovers worldwide. Many different versions have been launched over the years yet the basic design has changed very little from the original concept created by Sir Alec Issigonis. It has become a motoring icon, a fashion icon and a winner on the racetracks of the world. So what is it exactly that has endeared this little car to so many for so long?
Well, we couldn’t have a quality selection of aftermarket dvds without including this, could we? If you recorded the original classic movie off the telly, perhaps bought it on VHS years ago or, for some extraordinary reason, simply don’t have it in your collection, then now is the time to put it right.

It may not be the classic Michael Cain version, but the 2003 remake isn’t exactly shabby - there are some simply stunning driving sequences in this film and the plot isn’t bad either. We’ve managed to keep the price of this product pretty keen too - at just £9.99. As you’d expect, there are loads of special features with this dvd, incuding ‘making of’ and ‘deleted scenes’.
