There’s a mouth-watering array of personalised Minis from around the world, original classics – including the very first to roll off the Oxford production line in 1959 – and the very latest John Cooper Works creation makes an appearance. Top stunt driver Russ Swift is on hand to demonstrate just how excellent the Mini’s handling is with his spectacular skills, and rally legend Paddy Hopkirk recalls his 1964 Monte-Carlo Rally victory, which set the Mini on the road to becoming a world-beater on the motorsport stage.

This was the event of 2009, and saw a celebration of the Mini's 50th birthday like no other event. This DVD covers the long weekend in style, looking at the cars, interviews with several well known names, as well as profiles on some of the clubs and enthusiasts who attended. There's also an extensive photo gallery and additional interview footage within the DVD extras. A must for anyone wanting a record of such an important Mini event.

If you did, then here's the perfect record of a very special event, in a very special year! If you missed it, then here's a chance to see what all the fuss was about. It's no surprise that in the year that celebrates the Mini's fiftieth anniversary, the London To Brighton Mini run was littered with special events and jam-packed with record numbers of Minis. At the centre of this special DVD is an hour long documentary following the day, from the moment cars begin to arrive at Crystal Palace, the run down to Brighton and events on the sea front. Including lots of interviews, action footage from the run down and much more, it's a great record of the day.
And there's more... the DVD also includes additional footage of the first 50 cars leaving Crystal Palace, each one from a different year of Mini production! There's then time lapse footage of all 1450 Minis leaving the start venue, at least 100 photographs of cars and a time lapse of a Routemaster bus entering central London (!).

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the London To Brighton Mini Run is one of the biggest events in the Mini calendar. This film not only follows the run, but also some of the Mini nuts preparing their cars for it. The include Mel, who’s been preparing her Mini van for seven years, Barry and Mark who are putting one together using nothing but junk from the garage, and Lionel who’s probably the oldest runner at 96. Whether you attended this event or not, if you’re a Mini fan this DVD is for you.
